Paid Holidays
Full-time and part-time classified staff will receive their standard workday's pay for each of the recognized holidays. Part-time staff will receive pro-rata holiday pay for holidays that occur on a day they are not scheduled to work.
When holidays fall or are celebrated on a regular work day, eligible team members will receive one (1) day's pay at their regular straight-time rate. Holiday pay hours are not considered worked hours for the purpose of overtime calculation.
If a holiday falls within an eligible team member's approved vacation period, the eligible team member will be paid for the holiday (at the regular straight-time rate) and the team member will not be required to use time off for that day.
If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the holiday will be recognized on the Friday before. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, the holiday will be recognized on the following Monday. Non-exempt staff who fail to work their scheduled shifts before and after the holiday may be denied Holiday Pay unless exceptional circumstances caused the absence. Team members on personal leave of absence are not eligible for Holiday Pay.
